No matter what your profession is, getting along with your colleagues is a wonderful thing. For me personally, making blogger friends wasn’t easy. I went through lot of different periods, since my blogger career has started in 2010.
Some blogger friends were close but choose another path, and we moved on. Some were close and disappeared like we have never met before. Still, I have deep understanding for everyone who left, even those without any particular reason. In that moment, I might have been frustrated or annoyed with someone’s actions. However, I always remind myself that I don’t really know what’s going on in their life. I tried to understand, not take it personally, and trust that everything happens for a reason.
Lately I have seen and heard many negative comments from bloggers socially bullying other bloggers. I am not talking about “blogger gossip”, but bullying via Instagram Stories, even worse — via Podcasts. I don’t want to go into much detail, because this is not the purpose of this post. However, aside from the insults, those who talk bad about their (blogger) colleagues will only make them look worse than the person they’re talking about.
As bloggers, we’re meant to be real and authentic, talk the truth and inspire others. But why should someone spread rumors, excluding someone, embarrassing someone in public? I believe, those who do this are not only telling to their listeners something bad about the person, but also inadvertently tell them their own flaws. Because those who bully others and spread negativity have a mental disorder in which they try to make people feel miserable, in order to make themselves feel more important.
If you are affected by such people, here is my advice for you: ignore them and try to stay focused on your dreams and goals. Always remember that those who are negative or bully someone are the unhappiest and have lack of empathy for others. By ignoring the negativity, you’ll make them unhappier and they won’t have capacity to harass any longer.
