Lilac is the new pink and nothing beats the head-to-toe modern and sophisticated lavender look. The fresh pastel shade was all over the SS18 shows, starting at Emporio Armani at London Fashion Week and Céline at Paris Fashion Week, as well as Tibi and Victoria Beckham at NYFW. But how do you wear the trend? This season, it’s all about keeping it paired back with clean shapes.
Ultra violet was crowned Pantone’s color of 2018, and why not a head-to-toe look of this gorgeous pastel shade of lilac. The trick to making it looking modern rather than old-fashioned and saccharine is all in the shape. Lilac goes perfectly with nude and grey tones, as well as with white. I combined it with my new Polène Paris bag in trio camel and nute suede pumps.
