Today, I want to talk about the second hotel we have visited, and here is why you should also stay at Gran Hotel Manzana Kempinski

Havana is a city like no other place on earth. A place where time stands still, where people live in poverty, but they still remain human and kind. However, this city still wraps you up in its magic as soon as you arrive in town.

Located in the heart of the majestic Old Havana, and surrounded by the main UNESCO World Heritage buildings, the Gran Hotel Manzana Kempinski is Cuba’s first luxury hotel. On entering, you are greeted by a modern interior and Ladies in Red.

The Ladies in Red of Gran Hotel Manzana Kempinski are a part of the professional staff, to look after each and every guest attentively and thoughtfully.

ABOUT: GRAN HOTEL MANZANA KEMPINSKI LA HABANA

It is an ideal luxury hotel, for those who want to stay in a luxurious spa hotel in the best location, nearby the busy streets of the capital, hotspots, bars, restaurants and shops. As well as many of Havana’s attractions such as the Havana Cathedral, Paseo del Prado and Plaza de la Catedral.

In addition, while staying at Gran Hotel Manzana Kempinski La Habana, you have access to room service, a concierge, the spa, and a rooftop terrace with a pool and a restaurant/bar.

THE ROOMS

The rooms and suites have a classic and modern style, in white, grey and a pop of fuchsia. We stayed in a Deluxe Room, and had a great view over the Theatre and El Capitolio. Gran Hotel Manzana Kempinski La Habana provides a bathroom with a rain fall shower, bathtub, separated toilet, a flat screen TV, air conditioning, a minibar (which was empty), and free WiFi.

WHAT DID I REALLY LIKE ABOUT THE HOTEL REVIEW: GRAN HOTEL MANZANA KEMPINSKI LA HABANA?

• The breakfast was by far best we had during out trip in Cuba. The Confluencias offers international breakfast to start the day, with a huge selection of warm and cold dishes, seasonal fruits and vegetables, fresh pastries and breakfast eggs a la carte.
• San Cristobal Panoramic Restaurant has one of the prettiest and luxurious views over Havana’s old town and above. You can enjoy swimming at the pool terrace and have nice cocktails from the Bar El Surtidor. 
• The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. Especially the Ladies in Red, were very attentive and tried their best to accommodate all of our needs.
• The location of the hotel is also one of the main highlights. Everyone will fall in love with this hotel.

WHAT IS THE SERVICE LIKE?

The Gran Hotel Manzana Kempinski staff are super friendly and attentive— remembering orders, ready to answer any questions we had or anything we needed. Especially, the Ladies in Red were super attentive and very respectful.

WHAT WOULD I LIKE TO CHANGE AT THE GRAN HOTEL MANZANA KEMPINSKI LA HABANA?

If I was the hotel manager, I would be more strict with the staff to keep the restrooms at swimming pool terrace cleaner. Besides that, everything was good and there is nothing else that I would like change.

Résumé

The Gran Hotel Manzana Kempinski was our last stop during our two weeks vacation in Cuba, and we were very happy to have this opportunity to experience the first luxury hotel in Cuba. It will always stay as a special memory for us and we have enjoyed every single second in the hotel.

I would highly recommend it to everyone who is looking for an upgraded luxury hotel in the old center of Havana.
