Going out in sweatpants on chilly foggy mornings is over. Since we are back to “normality” means, throwing on a nice outfit from AM to PM. Here are some simple styling tips, and most important seasonal essentials to achieve the polished look to create your personal style.
- A STATEMENT BLAZER
You know me– this piece is my favorite essential throughout the year, but especially in fall, because it’s the first statement piece that showcases your style this season. You can never own enough blazers and shoes- I have more than 50 blazers, in different colors and fabrics.
For this post, I am wearing a full Susanne Spatt outfit, click here to shop the most perfect blazers.
- A COZY KNIT
Whether it’s a statement knit dress, a cozy knit jumper in bold or neutral colors– now is the best time to “show off” the ultimate fall essential. This season, we are getting back to a lot of color shades, such as lilac, cobalt blue or all kinds of rainbow brights. Personally, I love cable knits, but nothing beats a nice simple cashmere jumper or a dress. Knits are great pieces for office or afterwork drinks, paired with a statement skirt or tailored trousers, with a coat and boots for an elegant and stylish look.
- SADDLE TROURSERS
I am a huge fan of Equestrian style, pairing saddle trousers with a nice white shirt and a beautiful blazer, as you can see it in this post. Therefore I wanted to choose some beautiful saddle trousers, if you love to pair skinny pants with high boots.
- WIDE LEG JEANS
Again this season, we give more attention to wide-leg denim silhouettes, since the skinny jeans era is over (hopefully forever). As much as I love saddle trousers, I love wide-leg jeans or trousers in any style. The most flattering options come with a high waistband which provides a more elegant and sophisticated look. You can pair them with a simple white shirt or statement knit.
- AN OVERSIZED COAT
When it comes to oversized coats, they can be more versatile to wear with knits or blazers.
- MUST HAVE BOOTS THIS SEASON
Equestrian boots are always a timeless choice, but chunky boots are still having their moment. Boots can be styled from tights to bare legs, a mini skirt, to tailored pants and knitted maxi dresses. Longer lengths can save you from cold days.
- ESSENTIAL ACCESSORIES
Hands down– fall is the best season to add some nice accessories, whether it’s a hat, a beautiful statement scarf, gloves or a headpiece.
