“The biggest adventure you can ever take is to live the life of your dreams.”
― Oprah Winfrey
Now that this week almost ended, I will take little time to describe my first March day. As you already know, on 1st of March the Madonna Blogger Awards 2016 took place at Semperdepot. The hostess of the gala evening was the Madonna editor Jenny Fellner and celebrated the night amongst all digital stars and online influencers. A number of national and international guests graced the event, such as the Youtube star Sami Slimani, blogger and street-style photographer Yvan Rodic from Face Hunter, presenter Jan Koeppen and many more.
The highlight of the evening was the exciting awards and I was honored with the prize of “Best National Blogger” for the fashion category. I remember the moment when Liliana Klein presented the award for the fashion category and she mentioned some features that were related to me, but I had no idea whom she will name. After a few seconds she pointed her finger and said: “Edisa!”. My reaction and emotions are still indescribable and the moment I went to the stage I was excited and shaking like crazy! Jan Koeppen asked me: “How I feel to be the winner of this award? My answer was: “It’s amazing and I didn’t expected this!” I wish, I wasn’t that excited that moment, so that I could thank everyone who voted for me, those who worked with me and supported me during my blogging career. Especially Tony Gigov, who brings the best out of me and I am so lucky to have him in #DisiCoutureTeam.
I would also like to say congratulations to the best newcomer Raphaela of “Heart Blood“, than “Stories on a Plate” awarded for best food blog, as well as to Stefan Warecka and Florian Lindeber for their digital blog convinced the project “ITXTutor” and the german fashion blogger Caro Daur, who was awarded as best international blogger.
Every other bloggers, who were nominated this year are also winners! We all do what we love, and put lots of afford and sweat in our work. I respect all my blogger colleagues and wish them all lots of success.
Good things come to those who work hard, never give up and don’t hate each other. Remember: karma is a bitch! So stop hating, gossiping and work on your thing without doing bad to anyone.
My tip: Don’t listen to the doubters, don’t let setbacks keep you down, and most of all, don’t give up on yourself. No matter what you do, no matter how many times you screw up and think to yourself that there’s no point to carry on, and no matter how many people tell you that you can’t do it – keep going. Pick yourself back up. Don’t quit. Don’t quit, because a few months from now you will be so much closer to your goal than you are now. Focus on the road ahead, because the best is yet to come!
It’s not always where you are in life, but who you have by your side that matters most. Some people drain you and others provide soul food. Be sure to get in the company of those who feed your spirit, and give the gift of your absence to those who do not appreciate your presence!
Thank you Silia for your support and all these wonderful captures. Before this event happened, you told me: “I want to come to the Blogger Awards and take your pictures while you are on the stage!”, I replied: “This is not going to happen, but sure you can take some pictures on blue carpet!” and yes that happened what you said! 🙂 Also thanks to Yasmeen Dabu, who came to the event and took my snapchat (@disicouture) over.
