My London visit was full of beautiful moments, and I had the chance to visit London’s one of the most well known members club. My friend booked a table for tree, and we went for dinner to the club, which was founded in 1863 by Charles Dickens, Anthony Trollope and Lord Leighton.
Nestled in the heart of London, The Arts Club, offers its members fabulous dinner, filled with sumptuous light and simple dishes that pay homage to the very best seasonal and fresh produce, as well as good drinks and great live music.
It’s a club where you probably get to see Gwyneth Paltrow, Kim Cattrall, Ronnie Wood and many other famous people. We haven’t seen anyone of them, but we enjoyed our dinner to the maximum.
As starter we had different salads, such as: “Quinoa salad with herbs”, “Endive salad, with gorgonzola & candied walnuts”, and “Mixed leaf salad with Mancheges”, they were all delicous. As main dish, I had a wonderful “Veal chop with rosemary crust”, and  I can highly recommend the “Roast duck breast, seared foie gras, mago chutney & seven spice sauce.”Loved the interior and the shiny black floors, red studded banquettes and touches of polished brass. Among with people-watching, the club’s contemporary art collection was my main focus there.
About The Arts Club:
Designed by David D’Almada of Sagrada, the space consists of a series of individually furnished rooms, including a sophisticated members’ Library accented in warm bronzes and rosewood, the Brasserie and Oyster Bar, finished in rich shades of blue with Deco-inspired shagreen tiles and a dramatic black, white and grey Italian marble floor in geometric design and at the heart of the space is the Grand Staircase, pulling together the past and present of the Club, made of solid creamy-white marble with a bronzed balustrade.
The state of the art kitchens are under the stewardship of Executive Head Chef, Jean-Luc Mongodin, supported by Chef Director Raphael Duntoye of La Petite Maison.
The Arts Club Curator, Amelie von Wedel of Wedel Fine Art, has meticulously selected the works of art to create a unique experience through a combination of site-specific installations and impressive new acquisitions. The permanent collection includes work by Tomas Saraceno, John Baldessari, George Condo and Matthew Darbyshire, which hangs throughout the Club alongside temporary exhibitions which showcase both emerging talent and established artists.
With a strong focus on live music, members are afforded the most cutting edge and stimulating artists in the music business. Performing art is a key element of the Club as well as a programme of cabaret and film. The chic Nightclub has taken London nightlife by storm with its Bordello interiors and fiery show stoppers. Hosting live acts four nights a week, this 80 seat speakeasy venue has been witness to nights of Rock and Roll Royalty and has attracted the likes of Ronnie Wood, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Paloma Faith, Noel Gallagher and Damon Albarn.
The Arts Club invites members for breakfast, lunch, afternoon pastries and dinner, from 7am until 3am, Monday to Friday, 10am until 3am on Saturdays and 10am until Midnight on Sundays.  The art collection and exhibition space is open to the public every Wednesday and Saturday, from 9am until 12pm, arranged by prior appointments.
