Finally, I can share the highlight of my London visit attending this wonderful event of the unique British designer Zaeem Jamal, with wonderful people and Mr. Jamal itself.
I flew to London, especially for this event and when I arrived to the airport, the taxi driver picked me up and brought me to Zaeem Jamal’s stunning boutique in Chelsea‘s iconic King’s Road, greeted by two lovely ladies who took their time to show me the designer’s new collection, dreamy gowns and bridal dresses. I was amazed by the elegance, perfectly selected fabrics and playful colors. Immediately fell in love with many pieces, and I was imagining wearing them on the red carpet or on a summer event.
After everyone arrived to the boutique, we all went to Jamal’s new studio, where also the new “Greek Collection“ was presented. The creative director (Zaeem Jamal) took a trip to Greece to experience the rich Greek culture himself which he poured into the new collection. The design details of the collection comprised of intricate bead work, embroidery, pleats and knotted sections on the sleeves. Aesthetic wise, the garments had very flattering features such as; empire waist-lines which resemble those on the dresses of ancient Greek queens, asymmetric hemlines and bright uplifting colours.
The models made a great show, by weaving dreams into reality. Jamal puts a huge amount of thought and his design, by choosing the best materials to create effortless elegance for evening wear, bridal and ready to wear pieces. From gorgeous fluid dresses that make you want to move, to beautifully crafted accessories, this brand is one to watch now and in the future.
