“And she comes to his hand, but she’s not really tame. She longs to be lost, he longs for the same.” – Leonard Cohen
My life is filled with love, passion, connection, compassion, joy, laughter… and the taste of bitter chocolate. Sometimes there a strong feeling of longing and desire, as Oscar Wilde described the dilemma aptly when he said: “In this world there are only two tragedies: one is not getting what you want, the other is getting it.” The word Sehnsucht itself expresses this conflict.
Here I am wearing a stunning green dress, from Zenzukt which the pronunciation for the German noun Sehnsucht, translated as longing, yearning, or craving, or in a wider sense a type of intensely missing a familiar place or time. Zenzukt represents thoughts and feelings about all facets of life that are unfinished or imperfect, paired with a yearning for ideal alternative experiences also represents female empowerment, offering clean, simple, streamlined clothes.
This forrest green dress, with draped design and ruched detail, gives a very feminine silhouette. Love its show stopping backless feature and front centre split, perfect for special evening occasion. Here I pared this dress with my new favorite Aquazzura pumps.
